New Member Information-New Post 9/11

Apple Pi Robotics is looking to attract a group of motivated freshman to join our team for the upcoming season. We are a group of approximately 30 students and 10 mentors that will build a robot for the 2014 competition season. Apple Pi is one of over 2500 teams that will compete worldwide.

We begin pre-season meetings and training shortly after school goes into session. The formal season begins in January and runs through April although many of the students participate in the program year-round.

First meeting for our new class of freshmen and first year upper-classmen is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11th at the Guilford High School (Room 49). 6pm-8pm.

A parents meeting has now been scheduled for the following week, September 18th also at the High School same time and meeting room. Parents should come to be introduced to the program while students take part in a “Mock Kick-Off” simulating the activities on Kick-Off weekend in January. Parents are urged to attend this meeting to get important information regarding our program.

Meeting of October 2nd is at the Guilford H.S. in room 49. Introduction to mechanical principles and driver training for our new recruits in preparation for “Bash at the Beach”

Our website is a great source of information about the team so you will likely want to browse through to learn more about what we do and how we do it. We have lots of good video of past games and team performances under our Media tab. A link to FIRST Robotics, our parent organization, is included under the FIRST tab and will help you better understand the principles of FIRST Robotics and the organization.

Please stay tuned to this link for more information relative to our new student meetings which will occur shortly after you get back to school. These will be posted in this link and also on our calendar.
